This test measures the levels of glycosylated hemoglobin and is essentially a measure of blood glucose levels over a long period of time. The test is ordered in daibetic patients or patients suspected of diabetes.
This test is often performed to determine the underlying cause of abnormal thyroid hormone levels. It’s also used to screen for an underactive or overactive thyroid gland. It is ordered in cases of hypo- or hyper-thyroidism, hashimoto’s disease, grave’s disease or autoimmune thyroid condition.
